Teens & Vamps have a lot in common. How you ask? allow me to elaborate.

they both suck the life out of you (in the teens case, its exclusive to the parents but the point stands)

both are nocturnal.

both are immortal (if you've ever so much as MET a teenager you know they're firm in this belief)

both are extremely elusive (ever try to get in a teens mind? yeah.)

honestly i know theres a funnier way to phrase this but i havn't had coffee yet, but that just occured to me and i had to share. I was hoping for an article or cutesy type thing to copy/paste & post, b/c SURELY someone else has noticed this... if you find something LINK IT please. ..... that is all :D

so i took my mom to see the star trek movie, she's been looking forward to quite some time.

... now i knew my parents used to watch the original when i was a kid or before, i'm honestly unsure of the timeline, but i had no idea until today....




my mom is a trekkie.

OKAAAY i *know* she doesn't dress up in costumes, go to conventions, or wait in line for tickets to the most recent movie, or read the books or anything else the typical trekkie does, but folks letme explain, my mom is timid, shy, down to earth person, her main occupation for the last 20 some odd years has been to care for children now it is mostly to wrangle my two teenage sisters under control, but i digress... under normal circumstances when my mom wants to see a movie i say ok cool and off we venture to the nearby theatre, a decent 6 screen usually showing the latest flicks, not being a fan of crowds we tend to wait a week or two until she mentions the movie she wants to see, again, under normal circumstances, we'd sit in the theatre, she'd munch on popcorn and sit quietly and afterwards when i ask her to remark she'd say "it was alright" or "it was pretty good, i liked it"
but not star trek oh no no no....

Star Trek turned my normally shy mother into a giddy school girl, i do NOT exaggerate. Ever see the plays where the audience is expected to participate? oh yes. she cheered on the enterprise through every battle, remarked quite clearly audibly when she recognized a character, she explained scotty, his presence, etc. she hip and horrayed through every sequence... fists just a-raising, she clapped and laughed and cried, and oh lordy when leonard nimoy made his first appearance she quite literally squeed. I found myself in a fit of laughter everytime i saw her face light up, or hear her comments, like when spock hit kirk, she goes "now i get to be captain" as if 'reading kirks mind'? at least i *think* thats what was being conveyed, she inserted SEVERAL of her own lines to the dialogue and i found it, hilarious, fun and AWESOME! lol

overall: damn good day

i even took a benadryl at 12, like i do when i *know* i'm not gonna sleep (normally i get drowsy about ten ish eleven-ish but yeeah, not last night)

today/night was plannin on wearing shorts *looks at weather link* yeeah THATS not gonna happen 46 degrees?! *grrr* now i gotta go RE pick out a cute outfit! I shaved my legs for this?! *sigh* i'm totally SO tired of wearing pants...

also: this just in, my cousins on & off b/f for the past 4 years is now her permenant ex... :\ poor thing.

i really should try to update more

moms birthday is friday, i like a good little daughter have been thinking about it for over a month, but hvn't had cash to do anything about it, tiffany however, should've ugh. w/e i'm not even getting into that right now.

today it was really hard to wake up, tho i've been halfway waking up sorta early every day this week/weekend *shrug* on a weird note i feel like photoshopping. so i think i'm gonna go do that. yup. thats it. :D its amazing how a boring class can inspire creativity. :D lol

I havn't really felt that inspired/creative latey. Spring break has kept me decently busy. Galveston I took a lot of pictures, but havn't made the time to download them onto the computer, at least, not yet. Not really sure whats going on in my head.
Still think about Mike occasionally, a little worried sometimes, I'm still fully convinced he was dropped into my life for a reason. But I guess it'll work out, or not, I can't stress about it. I have to try to keep from fixing everyone I come across, or trying to make them feel better, or whatever.

Went to the Texas State Aquarium yesterday with my mom, it was a lot of fun! We talked the whole way down (its about a 3 hour trip and mom tends to be reeeeally quiet) we walked through the aquarium and looked at all the cool stuff, and the cute kids, it was a whole lot of fun. Then as if that wasn't enough we decided at the last minute to go to the behind the scenes tour, which included holding one of the baby alligators that will be in the new exhibit, seeing where the food was made, the holding tanks, filter systems & the coolest was to see the major feeding in the tank w/ the sharks lol it was awesome. (not at all what you would think, the nurse sharks are bottom feeders so they like vaccuum the fish outta her hands & the sand tiger shark is so docile he lets other fish steal his food, she literally has to set it between his teeth w/ a pole lol its hilarious. The feeder was someone we had already talked to for like 30 min at the turtle tank (YES they do have one named Crush AND one named Squirt!!! lol) we ate seafood afterwards, lol it was great.

today I was taking care of phone errands, & searchin online for jobs, then later cooked pineapple/coriander chicken & split the grocery bill for the night w/ jack (he brought veggies) & we watched true blood & talked about this chick he's been tryin to ask out, apparently she fell off the face of the planet & texted him that she lost her phone, I have a theory she started dating another guy & wanted to see how things went b4 seein him again... which reminds me I need to let him know thats what I'm betting... >_>

Anyway, just needed to post a *real* update & attempt to undo some AIMspeak habits... hopefully the only one that slipped through was the ellipses of doom... <_< I TRY to get rid of them but they come back!!! OKOK So yeah, feeling kind of blah.

headed to corpus on a 3 hr (one way) trip w/ teh mom. wish me luck! hope we dont kill each other!!!

I went to church last night, first time in forever that I actually felt like I belonged/needed to be somewhere.
Met a couple girls, signed up for a small group, came home completely refreshed & encouraged, It was AMAZING!


Had a dream about said church experience, basically a play by play of the whole thing w/ one added feature, the one guy I know thats Jewish was sitting behind me in church,... weeeeiirrrd... we didnt say anything to each other the whole time and then I woke up and texted him what happened.

Dentist: my first visit ever today, they took 45 min cleaning my teeth omg! lol i didnt think they were *that* bad but a LOT of it was on my bottom row, which is where my coffee/caffeine hits first thing every morning, and sometimes immediately after brushing >_< apparently i have no visible cavities, but one that my tooth developed/grew over? i'm not really sure how that happens but i guess when u dont visit since u had ur baby teeth... *shrug* so that should be fun and painful to fill....


resolutions: weeellll school took out the routine begining on this past monday... sooo tomorrow i clean and put up all my groceries that i ganked from moms place, i DID however order my workout video ordered :D

i feel like an infant, i'm teething, yes thats right my wisdom teeth are cutting through, my top two to be exact, one on each side. fun. i get this wonderful itchy needing to gnaw on something feeling that wont go away and WONT LET ME SLEEP!!!! i toss and turn and contort my jaw and tongue to unnatural positions to, in vain mind you, reach for SOME relief!! i press a (o.c.d-ly washed) finger to the gum and **feeeel** the shape of the tooth under the skin, with only one small tip cutting through. i think i'm going to lose my mind. seriously i'm contemplating running down to walgreens for some fucking orajel... grrrr!
