As you might have noticed, my lovely co-mod has put up a lovely new community banner on the IconStillness homepage. Not that I don't love it, but I thought it would be nice to hold a Banner Challenge!

This challenge is going to be pretty open ended. I'm not going to give you a theme, I'm not going to give you images to use, I'm only going to give the guideline that it has to be at least somewhat colorful. Amy's reasoning was that the Best Of 2009 icon was from the 'colorful' challenge, so the banner should reflect that a bit, and I agree with that.

Other than that, the regular rules apply: keep with the LJ requirements, no animation, don't share your entries with anyone.

Oh, and for entries, let's go with only one entry allowed instead of the usual two, since this is a bigger challenge. (Speaking of bigger, size limits! Let's try to keep it under 500 px in height and under 750 px in width.) Include one a community header banner in your entry reply. If you want, you can also include a default usericon to go with it, though this is not mandatory. I'll discuss with Amy what we'll do about the Best Of icon later.

As for the deadline, I'm setting it for Friday, January 15th for now. But I'm playing it by ear; it depends on how many entries I have by that Friday, I might extend it.

So go out and have fun!

My computer's motherboard is wrecked, so I need to look into purchasing a new laptop.  Not sure how I'll accomplish that with dwindling funds, but my birthday is this Saturday, I've asked friends to respond with financial assistance in lieu of gifts.  Fingers crossed that bit of crude desperation works.

Here's installment two of Jumpcut Junkies, focusing on A Serious Man.  I feel much thinner right now than I was when we shot this, so I'm currently not a whale, which is nice.

Hi!
I awhile ago I got the panache muiliway inferno in a 32E. Immediantly upon putting it on I realized that it didn't fit AT ALL. There was craploads upon craploads of exess fabric under my boobs. BUT I also had a crapload of cleavage and cup overflow, so what gives? Thinking that it was too small (and the band also too big) I got it in a 30FF (in black, first in biscuit if it matters). Lo and behold there's the same issue! Should I go up another size or what? I really would like a muiltiway and I can usually find a good deal on panache on ebay, so I really wanted this to work out, but alas. I was also thinking maybe the cups were too big? But then what was with the overflow? And whole not behind contained thing? Does anyone else have this bra? Have they had the same issues?

Hmmm...we only have two people who have entered challenge 0934, which gives us 4 icons for the Seth Rogan challenge and 3 for the Monkey's challenge. I'd really like a few more before putting up voting. Perhaps this week a few more of you will find the time and muse to enter. So I'm going to extend this another week. And to help out...in the Seth challenge, I'll allow 'human' non-animated characters in the icon. Be that of Seth himself or of others (say the rest of the cast of Spiderwick)...or what ever. Hope that helps!

And not that anyone really cares, but I'm still all excited about it. The 100 Monkeys show was really really good!


Also I wanted to thank you guys for all the feedback and the comments in the 2010 poll. I know it's a long poll, so I really appreciate that you took the time to click all the little buttons. :) I'm going to leave that open until next weekend too...then I'll update any and all changes that come as a result of that poll in time for our first real challenge of 2010.
